OPEN AIR EXPERIENCE, REINVENTED RITUAL, EXPERIMENTAL AND COLLECTIVE CREATION, INSPIRED BY AN ANIMIST VISION OF THE WORLD, YU.MI studio MOBILIZES BODY AND IMAGINATION FOR A LIVING FUTURE. ASSOCIATION CREATED IN MARCH 2023.

YU.MI studio creates learning experiences, in Marseille and Oceania.

Empowerment refers to the emancipation process by which a form of power is conferred on an individual or group of individuals. This concept spread during African-American civil rights struggles in the early 20th century. It is often mentioned for minorities as a lever for individual and collective transformation.

Empowerment develops self-confidence, listening, taking initiative, connecting with others. It has a direct impact on women’s capacity to act, both individually and collectively. They dare more, apply for jobs, cross caps. The creation of the network of women inherent in the project, opens up and provides them with new resources to project themselves into the future. The audiovisual dimension is an integral part of the process of empuissancement, transforming the way women look at themselves, and more broadly that of society towards women.

THE TALE was YU.MI studio first project, a contemporary tale combining dance, video and ecological transition.
A collective creation where women engaged in the environment play their own role.

The project will be released in june 2022 at The Art Center in Aubagne, the film ISOLA showed in la FOA cinema Festival and in other festivals during 2022 and 2023.

For a better and inclusive impact, the Tale also leads to cultural mediation through creative activities with different groups : kids and women!
